This historic type of rifle competition is conducted from the standing and bench rest positions at 200 yards using specialized single shot rifles and lead bullets.
Matches are held monthly from March until October including a regional multi-day Match.
There are also single shot rimfire matches at 100 yards, held occasionally.
There is a International Single Shot Association (I.S.S.A.) national championship held in Raton NM at the Whittington Center as well.
