ORCHARD MESA GUN CLUB MEMBERS MEETING

March 20, 2012

CALL TO ORDER:  The Meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM by the President, Chuck Lopas.  There were 19 members present.  The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was recited by all present.

MINUTES:  The Minutes of the February, 2012 Members Meeting were read by the Secretary and accepted as read.

TREASURERS REPORT:  The Treasurers Report was given by the Treasurer.  It was moved, seconded and passed to accept the report.

CORESPONDENCE:  None.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:  The work day was well attended with members arriving as early as 7:30 AM.  Later one Club member brought his tractor and it was of great assistance in getting the gravel spread in the areas we needed it done.  Gravel was put down on the South Ranges and the area behind the rimfire rifle range and the covered shelter.  A pathway to the 100 yard firing line on the North range was also done.  A letter will be sent to the member who provided his tractor.  There was discussion regarding the Board of Directors decision to limit pistol firing on the North Range to only the distances of 200 and 300 yards. The rational for this decision was again reviewed.  The 4H shooters will use the time set aside for their fund raiser on March 24 for shooting.  Members were reminded that black or blue OMGC hats are available for purchase for $5.00.

OLD BUSINESS:  None.

NEW BUSINESS:  A proposed form for the requesting and tracking of OMGC property by members was submitted, discussed and it was moved, seconded and passed to adopt the form.  A copy of the form is attached to and made a part of these minutes. A guest and pending new member of the Club, Bret Pomrenke, submitted a formal request to use the range for a fun shoot on April 20.  There would be several Club members present and he would submit $3.00 for each non member who used the range. It was moved, seconded and passed to allow this.  The letter is attached to and made a part of these minutes.  The rifle donated to the Club was present to be viewed by members and the opportunities that will be available for purchase to receive the rifle were explained.  Property returned to the Club by the Junior Club was present for viewing and will be sold to members by sealed bid at meetings.

ADJOURNMENT:  There being no further business to come before the members it was moved, seconded, and passed to adjourn.  The meeting was adjourned at 8:59 PM by the President.

Respectfully submitted,

Jeff Howard Secretary
