CORRESPONDENCE: A Christmas card from CAPCO to the Club was passed around for members to see. A letter of appreciation from the NRA thanking the Club for 100% NRA membership was received. It is attached to and made a part of these minutes. A Certificate of 100% NRA membership is posted in the Club House.
COMMITTEE REPORTS: None.
OLD BUSINESS: The slate of officers previously put forward by the Nominating Committee was as follows; Eric Kjeldgaard, the Current Vice President to advance to the Presidency, Jon Kobylarz as Vice President, Art Bennett as Treasurer, and Jeff Howard as Secretary. The floor was then opened up for nominations and none were forthcoming. The slate of Officers for 2014 was then elected by acclimation. The target rifles owned by the Club that were returned by the Grand Valley Marksmen are not all complete. There are front and rear sights missing. Following discussion it was decided to contact the GVM head to see about the missing sight parts. It may be possible to turnover some or all of the rifles to the 4H shooters for their use. Others may be sold at a future date either with complete sight sets or without. The Audit Committee selected Travis White as the Third member.
NEW BUSINESS: Tom Mathews, Chairman of the Board of Directors thanked Chuck Lopas and Pat Weber for their many years of service to the Club. The old and new Treasurers will need a copy of these minutes to effect the signature change on the Club’s accounts. The 2014 Club Calendar will be finished soon. The Savage Arms Company has changed hands and the new representative has not been contacted yet to see if there is still interest in a rifle demonstration at the Club later this year. Chuck Lopas will try to contact this individual. Gravel was ordered for the club but the bad weather forced cancellation of the project. This will be done when the weather permits the work. Representatives of the Appleseed Project have requested the use of parts of the ranges for their program in April, June, and September, final dates yet to be determined. There will be future Hunter Education Programs scheduled to be held in the Club House. The annual Board of Directors Meeting will be held on January 14, 2014 in the Club House. Any member is welcome to attend.
ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business to come before the members it was moved, seconded and passed to adjourn. The meeting was adjourned at 8:18 PM by the President.
Respectfully submitted,
Jeff Howard Secretary
