ORCHARD MESA GUN CLUB MEMBERS MEETING

April 19, 2016

 

CALL TO ORDER:  The Meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM by the President, Eric Kjeldgaard.  There were 12 members present.  The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all present.

MINUTES:  The Minutes of the March, 2016 Meeting were read by the Secretary and approved as read.

TREASURERS REPORT:  The Treasurers Report was given by the Treasurer.  It was moved, seconded and passed to approve the Report.  A copy is attached to and made a part of these Minutes.

CORESPONDENCE:  Another letter was received from the NRA regarding the recent dues increase.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:  There were eighteen members who signed in and worked at the Work Day. The perimeter fence was checked.  Target stands were repaired, and replaced.  Trash barrels were taken to the dump.  Posts and signs were placed, and there was general cleanup on the ranges.  There were 5 shooters at the Schutzen Match and $15.00 will be turned in to the Club.  There were 21 shooters at the Axis vs. Allies Match and $63.00 was turned in.  High Power had 5 shooters and $15.00 was turned in to the Club.

OLD BUSINESS:  The target rifles have been turned over to Barking Bullet for sale on consignment with a 15% commission to Hank Mlinarich.  Members wishing to purchase one of these target rifles can contact Hank.  Signs required by our agreement with the BLM have been given a clear coating as protection from the weather.  A map showing the location of these signs outside our property is attached to and made a part of these Minutes.  Art Bennett will coordinate the Club's participation in the CPW's Outdoor Heritage Day in Palisade.  It is from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM and we will have 2 BB guns for the kids to use.  It was suggested there be Business Cards for the volunteers to hand out at the event.  Jeff Howard will provide make them.

NEW BUSINESS:  Tom Mathews sent a letter to Grand Valley Training Club regarding the Club's policy and guidelines for organizations to use our ranges.  A copy is attached to and made a part of these Minutes.  The Club's filing of our exempt tax return, IRS Form 990-N has been received and accepted.  A copy of the Acceptance Letter is attached to and made a part of these Minutes.  The new NRA dues schedule has been incorporated into all the Club's forms.

ADJOURNMENT:  There being no further business to come before the Members the meeting was adjourned at 8:04 PM by the President.
