ORCHARD MESA GUN CLUB MEMBERS MEETING
July 19, 2016
CALL TO ORDER: The Meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM by the President, Eric Kjeldgaard. There were 10 members and 2 guests present. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all present.
GUEST PRESENTATION: Prior to the start of the Meeting Martha Graft , from the Mesa County Suicide Prevention Taskforce gave a presentation on suicide and statics for Mesa County. Suicide by firearms was discussed and interventions as well. Questions were addressed by Club members. Program materials were shared and copies are attached to and made a part of these Minutes.
MINUTES: The Minutes of the June, 2016 Members Meeting were read by the Secretary and accepted as read.
TREASURERS REPORT: The Treasurers Report for June, 2016 was given by the Treasurer. It was moved, seconded and passed to approve the Report.
CORESPONDENCE: None.
COMMITTEE REPORTS: There were 38 participants in the shooting sports for the 4H Mesa County Fair held at our range. There were 4 shooters at the July High Power match and $12.00 was turned in to the Club.
OLD BUSINESS: Two Rock Junior shooting rests were purchased online for use at the hunter sight in sessions sponsored by the Club. Colorado Parks and Wildlife requested we change some of the dates for hunter sight in. It was moved, seconded and passed to do this. The changes will be posted on the Club's web site and calendar.
NEW BUSINESS: There was general discussion regarding changes occurring on property adjacent to the Club. Eric Kjeldgaard will present a new flyer on Public Sight In Days.
ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business to come before the Members the Meeting was adjourned at 8:24 PM by the President.
