ORCHARD MESA GUN CLUB MEMBERS MEETING
August 16, 2016
CALL TO ORDER: The Meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM by the President, Eric Kjeldgaard. There were 9 members and 1 guest present. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all present.
MINUTES: The Minutes of the July, 2016 Members Meeting were read by the Secretary and accepted as read.
TREASURERS REPORT: The Treasurers Report was given by the Treasurer. It was moved, seconded, and passed to approve the Report. A copy of the Report is attached to and made a part of these Minutes.
CORESPONDENCE: A 2017 Calendar from the Wounded Warrior Project was received.
COMMITTEE REPORTS: There were 5 shooters at the August Hunter Menchrest Match and $15.00 was turned in.
OLD BUSINESS: Eric Kjeldgaard presented flyers for the September Public Sight In Days. Various members took flyers to distribute around the Grand Valley. A copy of this Flyer is attached to and made a part of these Minutes. Volunteers will be needed to help with these sessions. Art Bennett will coordinate this. Hank Mlinarich has sold 2 of the Club's target rifles on consignment and 2 more are being considered for purchase. Club members interested in purchasing one of these rifles should contact Hank.
NEW BUSINESS: Twenty-two women and children from Colorado Parks and Wildlife hunting introduction program sighted in their personnel rifles at the Club recently. The previously approved spreading of fresh gravel on the roads at the Club needs to be done as soon as possible. Some grading of the roads may also be necessary. Art Bennett and Jeff Howard will coordinate this. The old railroad ties behind the 50 yard berm are being moved to the target line in front of the 100 yard berm and this can result in bullets hitting the ground and not the berm and the ties are being left there. It was suggested the ties be moved to the drainage way between the 100 and 200 yard berms to slow runoff and prevent erosion at the next work day. Tom Mathews presented copies of the 2016 Exempt Property Report filings with the State of Colorado on the Club's three parcels. These are attached to and made a part of these Minutes.
ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business to come before the members the Meeting was adjourned at 8:05 PM by the President.
Respectfully submitted,
Jeff Howard, Secretary
