ORCHARD MESA GUN CLUB MEMBERS MEETING

September 20, 2016

 

CALL TO ORDER:  The Meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM by the President, Eric Kjeldgaard.  There were 12 members present.  The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all present.

MINUTES:  The Minutes of the August, 2016 Meeting were read by the Secretary and accepted as read.

TREASURERS REPORT:  The Treasures Report was given by the Treasurer.  It was moved, seconded and passed to approve the report.  A copy is attached to and made a part of these Minutes.

CORESPONDENCE:  A copy of the Certificate of Liability Insurance for the Grand Valley Training Club was received.  It is attached to and made a part of these Minutes.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:  The August Schutzen Match had 3 shooters and $9.00 was turned in.

OLD BUSINESS:  The project to put down gravel on the Club's roads and other areas was completed, along with enlargement of the berm on the middle of the three pits on the South Pits area.  Additional blade work was also accomplished prior to the placement of gravel to the 300 yard firing line.  Art Bennett and Jeff Howard coordinated this project with help from Russ Weber.  So far there have been 3 non Club members attend the Public Sight In Days.  Two dollars in donations have been received.  There are scheduled sessions this coming week end on Saturday and Sunday. 

NEW BUSINESS:  The final 2016 Work Day is scheduled for October 8th.  Items needing work include weed control, gravel movement, and moving the old rail road ties behind the 50 yard berm on the North Range to the drainage way behind the 100 yard berm.  We need to implement a more long term plan on weed control at the range.  The Secretary reviewed the Club's rules concerning membership renewal.  Early in the Month of the members  renewal the Secretary mails the renewal form to the address in the Club's data base.  The member then has the remainder of that month and the next 2 months to complete and submit the renewal.  If the renewal has not been received by the end of that period, then the members becomes inactive and is not to use Club facilities or bring guests to the range.  Inactive members will not be given any changes in the gate combination.  If the member does not renew their membership by the time their renewal month is reached a year later their membership is terminated, they are deleted from the data base and they must rejoin the Club as a new member and pay the $55.00 new member fee.

ADJOURNMENT:  There being no further business to come before the members the Meeting was adjourned by the President at 8:02 PM.
