ORCHARD MESA GUN CLUB MEMBERS MEETING

March 21, 2017

 

CALL TO ORDER:  The Meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM by the President, Eric Kjeldgaard.  There were 14 members present.  The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all present.

MINUTES:  The Minutes of the February, 2017 Members Meeting were read by the Secretary, and approved as read.

TREASURERS REPORT:  The Treasurers Report was given by the Treasurer.  It was moved, seconded and passed to approve the Report.  A copy of the Report is attached to and made a part of these minutes.

CORESPONDENCE:  The Secretary reported he has submitted a formal complaint to the Mesa County Code Enforcement Department concerning the property on the southwest boundary of the Club.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:  The Schutzen Match in October, 2016 had 5 shooters and $15.00 was turned in.  The March, 2017 match had 4 shooters and $12.00 was turned in.

OLD BUSINESS:  The Outdoor Heritage Days scheduled for April 29 needs a sign for the Club, with the Club's web site.  Business cards are also available.  The 4H pellet gun system will be available for the kids and targets and BB's as well.  Art Bennett requested the club donate $100.00 to Palisade and we will be a named sponsor.  It was moved, seconded and passed to do this.  There was considerable difficulty getting the Burn Permit for the Work Day on line from Mesa County.  The laptop computer and printer to be used for all club business in the future has been purchased.  A copy of the receipt is attached to and made a part of these minutes.  The News Letter containing the new lock combination was sent out recently.  Vice President Jon Kobylarz was the primary person doing this News letter.  There were 26 people who signed in attendance at the March Work Day.  The location for the new target shed was decided on and staked out, trash was collected, trash barrels emptied, the firing line and safety line repainted, weeds burned, the perimeter fence checked, the 100 yard berm worked on, bleachers, benches and tables repainted, targets repaired.  Herbicide was applied to the North Range,  parking lot, and road edges. 

NEW BUSINESS:  The sigh for the labeling of the North Range firing line the Russ Weber Firing Line is finished and we will install it at the May Work Day.  The key points for bids for the new target shed were presented by Eric kjeldgaard and are attached to and made a part of these minutes.

ADJOURNMENT:  There being no further business to come before the members the Meeting was adjourned at 8:02PM by the President.
