ORCHARD MESA GUN CLUB MEMBERS MEETING

April 18, 2017

CALL TO ORDER:  The Meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM by the President, Eric Kjeldgaard.  There were 12 members present.  The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all present.

MINUTES:  The Minutes of the March, 2017 Meeting were read by the Secretary and approved as read.

TREASURERS REPORT:  The Treasurers Report was given by the Treasurer.  It was moved, seconded and passed to approve the Report.  A copy is attached to and made a part of these Minutes.

CORESPONDENCE:  None.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:  The High Power Committee reported there were 22 shooters at the Axis vs. Allies Match and $66.00 was turned in and there were 6 shooters at the April High Power Match and $18.00 was turned in.

OLD BUSINESS:  The CPW Outdoor Heritage Days in Palisade is on April 29th.  Volunteers should be at the River Bend Park by 8:00 AM to set up the Club's booth.  A sign to be displayed at the booth was presented by Eric Kjeldgaard.  It was moved, seconded and passed to reimburse Eric for the sign.  There will be a need for rope and stakes for the booth.  There is only one remaining sign to replace those lost or worn out that are required by our agreement with the BLM and Renderly.  New ones of better quality will cost the Club $296.91 for nine signs.  The preliminary bids for the new target shed were discussed at length.  The bid from More Storage did not meet our specifications and will not be considered.  The others as well as any additional ones will be further discussed before a final selection is made.  The material received and reviewed is attached to and made a part of these Minutes.

NEW BUSINESS:  Tom Mathews, Chairman of the BOD presented copies of the Club's filing with the IRS and Colorado DOLA to maintain our tax exempt status and they are attached to and made a part of these Minutes.  Tom estimates this tax exempt status saves the Club over $5,000 in property taxes each year.

ADJOURNMENT:  There being no further business to come before the members the Meeting was adjourned at 8:33 by the President.

Respectfully submitted,

Jeff Howard, Secretary
