ORCHARD MESA GUN CLUB MEMBERS MEETING

July 18, 2017

 

CALL TO ORDER:  The Meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM by the President, Eric Kjeldgaard.  There were 11 members present  The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all present.

MINUTES:  The Minutes of the June, 2017 Meeting were read by the Secretary and approved as read.

TREASURERS REPORT:  The Treasurers Report was given by the Treasurer.  It was moved, seconded and passed to accept the Report.  A copy is attached to and made a part of these Minutes.

CORESPONDENCE:  The Club will provide information to the Daily Sentinel newspaper for inclusion in their forthcoming Community Organization Directory to be published August 27, 2017.  There will be a public meeting  on August 3, 2017 at the Lincoln Park Barn concerning  planning for the Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre, and Gunnison National Forests.  A copy of the notice is attached to and made a part of these minutes.  The BLM is also asking for comments on drilling on BLM land near our property.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:  There were 17 shooters at the June Rim Fire Bench Rest match and $51.00 was turned in to the Club.  The July High Power match had 5 shooters and $15.00 was turned in.  The July Schutzen match had 4 shooters and $12.00 was turned in.

OLD BUSINESS:  The issues with the property on our southwest boundary has been brought to the attention of the County Attorney.  An email from T.J. Rix, Code Enforcement Officer, regarding this issue, was read by the Secretary.  It is attached to and made a part of these Minutes. The Club has signed a contract with Cleary Building and made a down payment for the construction of our new target and storage shed.  It may be necessary for the Club to pay some sales tax on building materials used in the project.  The recently purchased lap top computer and printer, purchased for use by the Secretary, is now in use and the Club's data base has been successfully transferred to it.

NEW BUSINESS:  Jeff Howard will discuss issues that arouse with a members use of the Range with his guests with that member.  Dean Blanck the Club's web master reports there have been some issues with the Club's web site and he is working on them.  There was some discussion if we would like a second flag on the flag pole to be erected along with the new shed. 

ADJOURNMENT:  There being no further business to come before the Members the Meeting was adjourned at 8:16 PM by the President.
