ORCHARD MESA GUN CLUB MEMBERS MEETING
October 17, 2017
CALL TO ORDER: The Meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM by the President, Eric Kjeldgaard. There were 15 members present. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all present.
MINUTES: The Minutes of the September 2017 Meeting were read by Tom Mathews in the absence of the Secretary and approved as read.
TREASURERS REPORT: The Treasurers Report was given by the Treasurer. It was moved, seconded and passed to accept the report. A copy is attached to and made a part of these Minutes.
CORESPONDENCE: A response to an email from Art Bennett to Eugene Buchanan, Editor of Colorado Hunter requesting information on including OMGC in the next edition. Art’s provided information is also attached to and made a part of these Minutes.
OLD BUSINESS: A summation of the 2017 Public Sight-In Days was presented by Art Bennett. In general attendance was poor. Art made several suggestions on how we might improve attendance in the future. Arts report is attached to and made a part of these Minutes. Other suggestions included possibly holding a shooting match, inviting a manufacturer, and holding it on the same days each year and posting signs. There was discussion about protecting the new Target Shed from accidental collisions with rail road ties or telephone poles around the base.
NEW BUSINESS: Eric Kjeldgaard volunteered to remove trash from the recent construction and empty the trash barrels.
ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business to come before the members the meeting was adjourned at 8:10 PM by the President.
