ORCHARD MESA GUN CLUB MEMBERS MEETING

April 17, 2018

CALL TO ORDER: The Meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM by the President, Eric Kjeldgaard. There were 14 members present. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all present.

MINUTES: The Minutes of the March, 2018 Meeting were read by the Secretary and approved as read.

TREASURERS REPORT: The Treasurers Report was given by the Treasurer. It was moved, seconded and passed to approve the Report. A copy is attached to and made a part of these Minutes.

CORRESPONDENCE: The 2018 Exempt Property Report was filed with the Colorado Department of Local Affairs. A copy is attached to and made a part of these Minutes. The Form 990-N was submitted to the IRS. Confirmation of this submission is attached to and made a part of these Minutes. A Thank You Collage was received from the 4H shooters.

COMMITTEE REPORTS: The Axis vs. Allies Battle Rifle Match had 17 shooters and $51.00 was turned in to the Club. The April High Power Match had 6 shooters and $18.00 was turned in. There were 50 participants at the 4H Training Day.

OLD BUSINESS: The up coming Out Door Heritage Days booth has BB guns and BB’s. The 4H air rifle range will be used. Eric Kjeldgaard will bring it. Volunteers are still needed. The sign naming the North Range Firing line the Russ Weber Firing Line will be dedicated at the April Work Day and we hope to get media coverage. The March 24th Work Day had a good turnout and the fence was moved for Ute Water to relocate the fire hydrant, the old target shed contents were moved to the new one, the trash barrels were emptied, and the placement of preemergent weed killer was decided on. The weed killer has been applied. There have been no inquiries about salvage of the wood from the old shed. Refinishing the exterior of the Club House with stucco seams like the least expensive alternative but will require some preparation to the exterior.

NEW BUSINESS: The April Work Day will start at 8:00 AM. We hope to finish making the fence relocation for the fire hydrant permanent, burn the weeds left from last year behind the North Range 50-yard berm, repair the cable on the 300-yard gong, repair the damaged step on the 200-yard firing line, walk the perimeter looking for needed repairs, relocate the barriers for the flag pole. The 4H shooters will be available to repaint the North Range Firing Line and other painting. We will need some additional paint and propane for weed burning. Pat Weber requested the Club allow the serving of beer and wine at the conclusion of shooting on Saturday at the Shutzen Regional Match as in the past. All empty containers will be removed from the Range and all firearms will be stored beforehand. It was moved, seconded and passed to allow this.

ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business to come before the members the Meeting was adjourned at 8:08 PM by the President.

Respectfully submitted,

Jeff Howard, Secretary
