ORCHARD MESA GUN CLUB MEMBERS MEETING
February 19, 2019
CALL TO ORDER: The Meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM by the President, Eric Kjeldgaard. There were 15 members present. The pledge of Allegiance was recited by all present.
MINUTES: The Minutes of the January 2019 Meeting were read by the Secretary and approved as written.
TREASURERS REPORT: The Treasurers Report was given by the Treasurer. It was moved, seconded and passed to approve the Report. A copy is attached to and made a part of these Minutes.
CORESPONDENCE: None.
COMMITTEE REPORTS: The Audit Committee submitted their report. It was moved, seconded and passed to approve the Report. A copy is attached to and made a part of these minutes.
OLD BUSINESS: A new orange safety flag for use when the South Ranges are hot is in place. The majority of lot owners in Springfield Estates have filed an Amendment to the Covenants and Restrictions to not allow any structure to be used for a dwelling or residence. A copy of this Amendment and the original Covenants and Restrictions are attached to and made a part of these Minutes. The Caprock plan for a group home Amended Conditional Use Permit is being resubmitted to the Mesa County Commissioners on March 12, 2019. The Club thru the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Tom Mathews, agreed to a one sixth share in the legal and filing fees for this Amended Covenants and Restrictions, approximately $800.00. It was moved, seconded and passed to approve the Club’s one sixth shard of present and future legal costs and for the Chairman of the Board of Directors to represent the Club in this matter. Eric Kjeldgaard has a possible source for new chairs for the Russ Weber Firing Line.
NEW BUSINESS: Art Bennett presented a request for the Club to participate in the Annual Colorado Parks and Wildlife Outdoor Heritage Day in Palisade the last Saturday in April. The Club has furnished a BB gun shooting range in the past. volunteers to set up, man, and take down the range will be needed. The Club News Letter will be developed and sent to all Club Members soon.
ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business to come before the members the Meeting was adjourned at 8:07 PM by the President.
