ORCHARD MESA GUN CLUB MEMBERS MEETING

 

June 16, 2020

 

 

 

CALL TO ORDER: The Meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM by the President, Eric Kjeldgaard. There were 6 members present. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all present.

 

MINUTES: The Minutes of the March 2020 Meeting were read by the Secretary and approved as read.

 

TREASURERS REPORT: The April Treasurers Report was given by Jeff Howard and the May Report was given by Tom Mathews. It was moved, seconded, and passed to approve both Reports. These Reports are attached to and made a part of these Minutes.

 

CORESPONDENCE: The Club received a Thank You for our donation in Russ Weber’s name of $250.00. It was forwarded to pat Weber. The 4H shooters emailed requests for practice times and possible activity at the Mesa County 4H Fair either July 26 or August 23.

 

COMMITTEE REPORTS: The June BR50 Match had 5 shooters and $15.00 was turned in. The June High Power Match had 9 shooters and $27.00 was turned in. The June Rim Fire Bench Rest 100-yard Match had 6 shooters and $18.00 was turned in.

 

OLD BUSINESS: The Work Day on June 20 will focus on putting up the frame for the new OMGC Range Sign and concrete and water will be needed. Weed control will also be necessary. The new Mesa County COVID-19 guidelines are posted on the main gate. Placement of new perimeter signs are under way but not complete. The plan for goats to control weeds has been paused but still may be possible. The Club’s lawnmower can also be used. The native grass seed project will need some water. Various strains are under consideration.

 

NEW BUSINESS: The Colorado Property Tax Exemption form has been filed with the State. It is calculated this exemption saved the Club $6,263.92. The Form is attached to and made a part of these Minutes.

 

ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business to come before the members the Meeting was adjourned at 8:10 PM by the President.
