ORCHARD MESA GUN CLUB MEMBERS MEETING
July 21, 2020
CALL TO ORDER: The Meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM by the President, Eric Kjeldgaard. There were 9 members present. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all present.
MINUTES: The Minutes of the June 2020 Meeting were read by the Secretary and approved as read.
TREASURERS REPORT: The Treasurers Report was given by the Treasurer. It was moved, seconded, and passed to approve the Report. A copy of the Report is attached to and made a part of these Minutes.
CORESPONDENCE: None.
COMMITTEE REPORTS: The June Hunter Bench Rest / Varmint for Score Match had 7 shooters and $21.00 was turned in. The July High Power Match had 8 shooters and $24.00 was turned in. The July 100 yard Rim Fire Bench Rest Match had 5 shooters and $15.00 was turned in.
OLD BUSINESS: There was excellent participation at the June Workday. Quite a few 4H shooters and parents were present. The signs on the perimeter fence were all completed, the North Range Firing Line wasiswept, the weeds in front and behind the line were mowed, other areas of weeds were also mowed, the frame for the Club’s new sign was placed, and the old bleachers to the North behind the North Range were disassembled for removal.
NEW BUSINESS: Tom Matthews, Chairman of the Board of Directors, had back surgery last week. Some of the insulation in the ceiling of the Target Shed has fallen thru the fabric holding it in place, which has torn. Cleary Building has been contacted about this. Jeff Howard gave a brief report on the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic locally and in Colorado. The weeds continue to be a problem on the North Range, parking lot and various other areas. Some were mowed on July 21. A riding mower would make keeping these weeds down easier. There is still a possibility of using goats to help control the weeds as well. The 4H shooters will compete in a postal match statewide in place of the State Championships.
ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business to come before the Members the Meeting was adjourned at 8:00 PM by the President.
