ORCHARD MESA GUN CLUB MEMBERS MEETING
September 15, 2020
CALL TO ORDER: The Meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM by the President, Eric Kjeldgaard. There were 9 members present. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all present.
MINUTES: The Minutes of the August 2020 Meeting were read by the Secretary and approved as read.
TREASURERS REPORT: The August Treasurers Report was given by the Treasurer. It was moved, seconded, and passed to approve the Report. A copy of the Report is attached to and made a part of these Minutes.
CORESPONDENCE: None.
COMMITTEE REPORTS: Schutzen had 3 shooters and $9.00 was turned in to the Club. There were 8 HBR/VFS shooters and $24.00 was turned in. High Power had 5 shooters and $15.00 was turned in. 100-yard Rim Fire Bench Rest had 4 shooters and $12.00 was turned in.
OLD BUSINESS: The Club will purchase five pounds of Buffalo Grass to be spread on the test plot in front of the 50-yard berm when there is snow on the ground. We have still had no reply from Cleary Building regarding the fallen insulation in the Storage Shed. It appears more has fallen and likely more will. It may be necessary to hire someone to fix this situation. Public Sight In Days will be October 3 and 4. All day on the 4th and 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM on the 5th. The event has been advertised in the Nickle Want Adds. Cost for a riding lawn mower at several places was $3,000 to $4,000. There were other ones at less cost also mentioned. We may also lease a tractor with mower to use to try and get control of the weeds. There will be a dry erase magnetic board placed on the North or West side of the Target Shed with a plastic cover for posting notices and information for Club Members. Also, a larger place to post information at the main gate will be built.
NEW BUSINESS: The Workday will begin at 8:00 AM with weed abatement and sacking up of fallen insulation the major projects.
ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business to come before the members the Meeting was adjourned at 8:08 PM by the President.
