Orchard Mesa Gun Club Officers and Board of Directors
The current combination to the gates and range house will be changed as of October 31st We will post the new combination on November 1st 2005.Thank you for your cooperation. Also we will make the combination available to members who sign in and are validated at the membership meeting on October 18, 2005.
LIGHT RIFLE TOURNAMENT
Al Chicon has put together several tournaments for light rifle in the last two years. Participation in these great, fun events has been somewhat lacking. These tournaments are an excellent opportunity to win some valuable prizes. Also this is a great opportunity to introduce a friend to competitive shooting. All that is required is a regular .22 rifle. Of course we do not allow you or anyone to use a modified rifle, just the ordinary plain-jane .22 cal shootin’ iron.
DYNAMITE SHOOT
Do you want to have some “real fun”?Come out to the dynamite shoot on November 19th. It is even fun just to watch the other folks shoot and hit or miss the dynamite. We must caution you, however, that you should bring your rifle and some ammo, as you will no doubt want to take a shot or two yourself.
WORK DAYS
It is expected that each member will participate in at least one workday per year. We usually have three scheduled workdays each summer. A member who is certified NRA Range Safety Officer may receive credit for a workday if he or she acts as Range Safety Officer at any match on the shoot calendar (this of course means filling out and turning in the proper paper work). There are a few members that participate in every workday. Many more members never show up for any workdays. It would be much better if everyone participated in the workdays as expected. The range and our property would be in much better shape.
WEB PAGE
If you have web access, the Orchard Mesa Gun Club has a web page with information about up-coming events and successes of prior events. Check it out often as the content changes from time to time. There are also links to NRA news and information.WWW.OMGUNCLUB.ORG.
